Spring cleaning your emotional closet is a longer term exercise! As you continue to work through your emotional closet, consider appreciating those feelings which you are letting go. We experience emotions 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week. Our emotional state fluctuates constantly even when we don’t notice.
As you let go of some of the emotions that no longer serve you, remember that they did serve you before. Appreciate them for the place they have brought you to today and then gently release them. And if those same emotions return to your closet…it is okaye! We all revisit places, people and emotions that we have let go of earlier.
And remember, there is no right or wrong emotion or answer. These are all indications of where we are and now we are taking control and choosing where we want to be.
